Welcome to the world wide web’s home for Saint Kateri Shrine of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

Located on the grounds of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska, the shrine is outdoors and open to the public at all times.

Kateri Tekakwitha was declared Blessed by Pope John Paul II on June 22, 1980.

December 19, 2011, Kateri Tekakwitha was deemed worthy of sainthood by Pope Benedict XVI. The ceremony for her canonization was in Rome on October 21, 2012. Our church held a special mass and celebration with the Osage Nation in Pawhuska the same day.

Saint Kateri is patroness of peace and ecology.

The on-site chapel was completed and dedicated October 22, 2012.  Click here to see some photos of the chapel under construction.
